⚠️ Before deleting your account, cancel your active subscription first. Deleting the account without canceling may not stop billing — you could be charged for the next cycle even after deletion.
Deleting an OurDream AI account is a two-step process: you must first cancel any active subscription, then submit the account deletion request. Skipping step one is the most common mistake users make — and it results in continued charges even after the account appears gone.
This guide covers both steps, what data gets deleted, and your rights under GDPR and CCPA.

Step 1: Cancel Your Active Subscription
Before touching the account deletion option, cancel your subscription to stop all future billing.
To cancel via the platform:
- Log in to your OurDream AI account
- Go to Settings (gear icon, top right or account menu)
- Select Subscription or Billing
- Click Cancel Subscription
- Follow the confirmation prompts — you may be offered a downgrade instead of cancellation; decline if you want to cancel fully
- Save a screenshot of the cancellation confirmation
Important billing notes:
- Cancellation stops future charges but does not issue a refund for the current billing period
- You retain access to premium features until the end of your paid period
- OurDream AI payments are processed by Stripe; your card statement will show "Dream Studio" as the descriptor
- If you were charged after canceling, contact OurDream AI support with your cancellation confirmation screenshot
If you subscribed via Apple App Store (iOS): You must cancel through Apple, not through the OurDream AI app:
- Go to iPhone Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions
- Find OurDream AI and tap it
- Select Cancel Subscription
If you subscribed via Google Play:
- Open the Google Play Store
- Tap your profile icon > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions
- Find OurDream AI and cancel from there
Step 2: Request Account Deletion
Once your subscription is canceled (or if you were on the free plan), proceed with account deletion:
Within the app/website:
- Go to Settings > Account
- Scroll to the bottom and look for Delete Account or Close Account
- You may be asked to re-enter your password or confirm via email
- Submit the deletion request
Via email request: If the in-app option is unavailable or doesn't respond:
- Send an email to OurDream AI's support address (found in the Help section)
- Subject: "Account Deletion Request — [your registered email]"
- In the body: state you want your account and all associated data permanently deleted
- Include your registered email address and, if available, your user ID
OurDream AI is operated by TEKTOPIA LTD (Cyprus, EU registration HE 473775). As an EU-regulated entity under GDPR, they are required to process data deletion requests.

What Gets Deleted
When your account is deleted, the following data should be removed:
- Your profile and account credentials
- All chat histories and conversation logs
- Characters you created (private characters)
- Saved images and generated media
- DreamCoins balance (non-refundable)
- Lorebooks and world info entries
What may persist:
- Community characters you published publicly may remain in the library under your username, depending on platform policy — ask specifically about this if it concerns you
- Anonymized, aggregated usage data may be retained per the platform's privacy policy
- Billing records may be retained for legal/tax purposes for up to 7 years (standard EU and US practice)
Your Legal Rights for Data Deletion
GDPR (European Union residents)
Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation 2016/679), you have the Right to Erasure ("right to be forgotten"). TEKTOPIA LTD, as an EU-registered data controller, must respond to erasure requests within 30 days. If they fail to respond, you can file a complaint with the Cyprus Commissioner for Personal Data Protection.
CCPA (California residents)
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, California residents have the right to request deletion of personal information. OurDream AI / Dream Studio USA, Inc. (New Mexico) must honor verifiable deletion requests.
All other users
Even outside the EU and California, you can request account deletion by contacting OurDream AI support directly. Response timelines may vary.

After Deletion: What to Expect
- Log-in will fail immediately after deletion is confirmed
- You may receive a final confirmation email — save it
- Any active Stripe subscription should show as canceled in your Stripe payment history
- If you see continued charges after deletion, contact your bank to dispute the transaction and provide your deletion confirmation as evidence
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I reactivate my account after deletion?
Typically no — deletion is permanent. However, you can create a new account with the same email if you change your mind later. Previous chat history, characters, and DreamCoins will not be recoverable.
What if I just want a break without full deletion?
Simply cancel your subscription and stop logging in. The free account can remain dormant indefinitely. On the free plan, memory resets after 3 days anyway, so there is no ongoing data accumulation from an inactive account.
How long does deletion actually take?
Most users report account access being revoked within 24–72 hours of submitting a deletion request. Complete data removal from servers may take up to 30 days under GDPR timelines.
